Vintage Organic Cheddar Garlic Swirls

Deliciously simple and easy to make, these treats are perfect for a picnic and something the whole family can enjoy! We find that using garlic oil gives the swirl that extra scrumptious garlic taste – Fussels Garlic Oil is one of our favourites!

  • Puff pastry block
  • Plain flour (for dusting)
  • 100g Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar (grated)
  • 2 tbsp garlic puree
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • Garlic Oil
  • 1-2 tsp oregano
  • Preheat the oven to 200C/Fan 180C/Gas 6
  • Roll out your puff pastry block onto a floured surface until it forms a rectangle. Trim the edges if necessary
  • Spread the garlic puree onto your pastry, being sure to leave enough of a border
  • Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the puree and evenly distribute the chopped garlic cloves
  • Brush the border of your pastry with egg and then roll the pastry being sure to firmly press the edges together
  • Cut the pastry roll into even pieces and place on a lined baking tray
  • Brush the swirls with the remaining egg and then drizzle with garlic oil and sprinkle the oregano on top
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
  • Leave to cool and then enjoy!
