Deliciously simple and easy to make, these treats are perfect for a picnic and something the whole family can enjoy! We find that using garlic oil gives the swirl that extra scrumptious garlic taste – Fussels Garlic Oil is one of our favourites!
Ingredients
- Puff pastry block
- Plain flour (for dusting)
- 100g Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar (grated)
- 2 tbsp garlic puree
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
- Garlic Oil
- 1-2 tsp oregano
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200C/Fan 180C/Gas 6
- Roll out your puff pastry block onto a floured surface until it forms a rectangle. Trim the edges if necessary
- Spread the garlic puree onto your pastry, being sure to leave enough of a border
- Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the puree and evenly distribute the chopped garlic cloves
- Brush the border of your pastry with egg and then roll the pastry being sure to firmly press the edges together
- Cut the pastry roll into even pieces and place on a lined baking tray
- Brush the swirls with the remaining egg and then drizzle with garlic oil and sprinkle the oregano on top
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
- Leave to cool and then enjoy!
