The perfect festive savoury treat. Super cheesy and easy to make, these delicious biscuits can be enjoyed by the whole family. You can even use a cookie cutter to make them into any shape you’d like!
Ingredients
- 90g plain flour
- 90g whole plain flour
- 100g Oak-Smoked Vintage Organic Cheddar (grated)
- 100g butter (cold and chopped)
- 2 sprigs of rosemary (chopped)
- 1 egg yolk
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C/ 160C fan/ Gas 4
- Sieve both flours into a bowl mix in the butter using your fingertips to create breadcrumbs
- Add the cheese and rosemary and mix well
- Using a fork, stir in the egg yolk and keep stirring until it begins to come together
- Using your hands, knead the mixture to form a dough
- Roll out the dough in between two pieces of baking paper and then cut into shapes (if you’d like you can use cookie cutters – we chose to use a Christmas tree cutter for ours!)
- Transfer the biscuits to a lined baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown
- Leave to cool in the tray for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely
