
Our savoury take on the traditional sweet flapjack, these treats are ideal for lunchboxes or snacks. The combination of the cheddar and Marmite provide a delicious umami flavour.

- 85g butter
- 60g Marmite
- 175g rolled oats
- 100g mixed seeds
- 50g plain flour
- 200g Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar (grated)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas mark 6 and line a square tin with baking paper
- Melt the marmite and the butter into a small pan and mix until fully melted
- Combine the flour, oats, the majority of the seeds, and about ¾ of the cheddar in a mixing bowl. Pour in the melted butter and marmite and add the eggs. Stir until well combined and sticky
- Place the mixture into the tin, making sure it is evenly spread and sprinkle the remaining cheddar and seeds on top. You can also drizzle some extra Marmite too
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown
- Leave to cool for 10 minutes and then cut into portions
