
Perfect for breakfast or as a light snack, these muffins are not only super easy to make but also taste delicious. Using our award-winning Black Truffle Vintage Organic Cheddar, these tasty treats won’t last long!
Ingredients
- 275g self-raising flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp of salt
- 50g butter
- 1 large egg
- 250ml milk
- 75g Godminster Black Truffle Vintage Organic Cheddar (grated)
- 2-3 rashers of bacon
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6
- Cut bacon rashers into small pieces/chunks and fry until cooked through
- Add the flour, baking powder and salt to a large bowl
- Mix the butter, egg, and milk together in a jug
- Combine the cheese and bacon to the dry ingredients in the bowl and mix well
- Pour in the wet ingredients and mix together
- Line the baking tray with muffin cases and divide the mixture equally between the cases
- Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes or until well-risen and golden brown
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Enjoy either warm or cool
