We love a good country show at Godminster – the crowds, the atmosphere, the smell of sunshine on grass (hopefully!), and the weird and wonderful events that make them so peculiarly British. Just as well really because on Wednesday August 21 we’re off to the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show where we’ll be taking a stand and sampling our range of organic cheese.
It promises to be a great day out, so if you’re in the vicinity and are looking to do something fun with the kids during the long summer holidays, head over and say hello. They’ve got everything from terrier and ferret racing, live music from the Plonkers and the Gillingham Imperial Silver Band to celebrity farmer Johnny Ball as the main attraction in the Education Area with the NFU ‘Let’s Talk Farming’ roadshow. There’s also a cookery theatre, loads of food producers and even a real ale bar for the dads (and mums for that matter!). Oh, and a very nice stall with the most delicious bries and cheddars you’ll find in the West Country (that’ll be us). See you there!
