It’s during times like this that we realise how truly lucky we are to live and work in such a beautiful little corner of the world. Looking out across Godminster Farm bathed in sunshine I really wonder if any workplace could compete!
In the garden green houses our nectarines, apricots and peaches are now in flower and outside our nut orchard and blackcurrants are also coming back to life – most importantly though, all the cows are now grazing outside – meaning the farm really feels alive again!
We have been trying to do more than just enjoy the sunshine though! The Chapel, a wonderful little restaurant here in Bruton, is now using only Godminster milk, so if you manage to stop by for a mid-morning coffee (we can highly recommend one!) then you can rest assured that your milk comes from only a mile away! We’ve more good news – thanks to your help we have been nominated in the Taste of Somerset Awards as one of the County’s best organic food businesses – so thanks to everyone that voted.
We are also making quite a lot of changes to what we do online – so watch this space over the coming weeks. As well as re-designing the website, I am travelling up to London on Monday to take some brand new shots of our products – just to make sure that they look as delicious as they taste! You can talk to us online now as well – if you want to be up-to-date with everything we’re up to, or have any questions or comments, please pop along and ‘like’ us on facebook here and follow us on twitter here – we’d love to know what you think about what we do.
