Sun, rain, sun
For some of us the constant sun, rain, sun, rain, sun, causes a bit of a headache. It’s impossible to make plans. One minute it’s a cosy day in with a good book and a better bottle of wine. The next, you’re all piling in the car with the picnic basket ready to make the most of the sunshine! But of course our plants and crops absolutely love it – and we even managed to second cut the silage this week, get it all in the barn before the rain fell again.
As well as our crops, the wild orchard behind us is enjoying the weather and looking great. Away from the farm, Richard will be at the beautiful Master Builders, at Bucklers Hard in the New Forest for their annual food festival this weekend. There will be a barbeque from 12 noon onwards with live music all day and for the adults there is a beer tent selling local ales and ciders. If you are in the Wiltshire area, Lee will be at Wiltshire County Show where the international horse trials are being held – so there are two great opportunities to come and say hello this weekend, and hopefully it will be more sun than rain!
