With The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee only a couple of weeks away (yes it has come around quickly!) we anticipate that lots of people will be spending the long weekend celebrating the jubilee, or just celebrating having four days off work! So we thought we would give you some culinary inspiration for your celebrations . Whether you will be picnicking in the park, holding a street party, or having a family affair in the garden at home – here are some top tips to make it a great day…
- Why not ask everyone to make a dish? Meaning you not only have less to prepare but you can sample everyone’s cooking!
- You could try a theme – British dishes would be the obvious choice – you could take it one step further and try to include local produce or even home-grown
- You could even try to create a dish from 1953 – if you want to push the boat out!
Whatever you choose to do we have lots of perfect ingredients to get your party off to a great start. Our deliciously creamy organic cheddar is available in 1kg size (meaning you won’t have to fight over it too much!) which is just perfect with some of our locally baked, rosemary water biscuits and chunky beetroot and apple chutney available in a 670g jar. And our gorgeously indulgent hand-made fruit cake, bursting with ginger and citrus flavours, is perfect for picnics and parties. Or why not become the real star of the party by mixing up a jug of our Godminster Blush Elderflower Champagne Cocktail ? For full details on how to make it click here. Jess
