Over the last decade, we have planted 25,000 broadleaf trees. These benefit the long-term viability of the farm by creating sustained timber crops, as well as shelter, nesting and feeding areas for a variety of species. Timber trees include: oak, walnut, ash, poplar, willow, hazel and beech. Fruit trees: bullace, guelderose, sloes and hawthorn. Nesting trees: hornbeam, field maple and thorny trees, bushes and hedges.
