On October 1st Angel Adoree, who runs a famous Vintage Tea Party service called The Vintage Patisserie, launched her second book, The Vintage Tea Party Year. To celebrate, guests at her book launch were spoilt with vintage hair style makeovers and delicious tea cocktails, served in china teacups of course!

Here’s the recipe from Angel

5 minutes, plus chilling.
6 Earl Grey tea bags
200ml (7fl oz) just-boiled water
50g (1oz) caster sugar, or to taste
200ml (7fl oz) Sloe Godminster Vodka
juice of 1 lemon
1 Steep the tea bags in the water in a measuring jug for 4 minutes, adding
the sugar and stirring until dissolved. Remove the tea bags.
2 Fill up to 500ml (18fl oz) with cold water and refrigerate for 1 hour,
or longer if you have time.
3 Remove from the refrigerator and add the Sloe Godminster vodka, lemon juice and ice.
4 Serve either in teacups or tiny glasses. For a real treat, add a pinch
of saffron to each shot.
