How our Honey is made and why it's so good - Godminster

Our bees are particularly productive. We reckon this is because they don’t have to travel long distances. They are surrounded by fields filled with all the flowers that they need to flourish. They feed mainly on clover, blackberries and borage. Later in the season they feed on willow herb and ivy pollen. This produces honey that is extremely floral.

Currently, we have 5 hives, although our local Beekeeper's Association tells us that we could sustain at least 50 with the current level of flora available to the bees.
