Soon after going organic in 1999, we realised that our milk, delicious as it is, would never generate enough to sustain the farm. Making a cheddar, which we could market ourselves, seemed a more lucrative solution. Following their 70 year old recipe, local cheesemakers, used our milk to produce Godminster Vintage. By 2000 the cheese was ready to sample and we discovered a delicious, more profitable use for our milk. Selling started at our local farmers' market in Wincanton. Now we supply shops all over the UK and our fan base, along with our range of products, continues to grow.
