Despite the glorious weather recently, here at Godminster Farm instead of thinking about cocktails, beaches and swimming. We’ve been thinking about Christmas!

To make sure we have just the right amount of our organic cheddars, chutney, crackers and infused vodkas we have to start planning very carefully. Our shelves are already filling up with all sorts of Christmas goodies. It can make it a little confusing though when you spend the day mulling over yuletide gifts before heading off to a barbeque or impromptu picnic, but for lots of food producers that’s how far ahead you have to think.

Talking of thinking ahead, we have some brand new crackers to launch in September that Richard has spent a lot of time perfecting over recent months.  There will be two varieties,  one digestive, made with rolled oats (in fact we are now planting oats at Godminster Farm so that we can use our own Godminster oats very soon) and one water biscuit made with rosemary from the Farm. For anyone attending the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in September you will get a sneak peak at the crackers, as we will be launching them at the show, as well as exhibiting  all our delicious products in the run up to ……… you guessed it, Christmas!

Back to summer now though – we will be at the Gillingham and Shaftsbury Show on 17th August, so if you’re planning to attend make sure you stop by and say hello.
