"We are looking forward to August and another great day out for chilli enthusiasts, food lovers and families. To be held with the kind permission of the Earl of Shaftesbury at St Giles Park, we’re lining up a glorious August weekend of “chilli fiesta”, with stalls selling all things chilli, from pepper plants to cayenne condiments; seeds to ceramics; plus cooking demonstrations; talks on growing chillies; artisan food producers; music; spicy street food; local ice creams to cool the mouth; local beers to slake the thirst."
"We are delighted to announce that the amazing Cheese & Chilli Festival is coming to Winchester!!
Having trialled the event in Dorset last year, we felt the need to bring the party to the town we love. We love the people of Winchester and feedback from those we surveyed suggested that you would like to have the event so we are looking forward to seeing you all.
The event will bring an amazing array of tastes, colours and experiences to town and is a ‘must go to event’. Come rain or shine, the event will be fantastic!"
"The Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show is one of the largest one day agricultural shows in the south, held on our own Turnpike Showground in North Dorset. This traditional show is always held on the third Wednesday in August and regularly has an attendance of over 24,000 people. The 2015 Show looks all set to be one of the best events ever, with a record number of trade exhibitors, a great range of attractions for all the family and entries for the competitive classes being received at a record rate."
"Foodies Festival, the UK’s largest celebration of food & drink returns to Oxford South Parks on 29th, 30th & 31st August for its sixth consecutive year."
"This year's Show look forward to seeing a repeat of last year's record of over 20,000 visitors, more than 350 Trade Stands and in excess of 4600 class entries into the various competitions. The Cattle section saw in 2014 a record 400 plus cattle, resulting in 688 class entries, which made us one of the largest one day cattle shows in the country. There were in excess of 100 exhibitors from 12 counties, with all the prize winners taking part in THE GRAND PARADE alongside other livestock winners."
"A celebration of Cheese, Food and Crafts established for over 15 years now and based on a tradition of Cheese making in the town, stretching back for over 100 years. The Cheese Festival is a great day out in picturesque “Hardy” country in the heart of the Blackmore Vale. Thomas Hardy once lived in a house adjoining the site."
